AI Lays is our flagship AI lay betting service. The model, Betty, scans every UK & Irish race and lays the short-priced runners that are statistically the weakest. Lay betting means you bet against a horse — when it loses, you collect the backer's stake on the Betfair Exchange. Strike rates are high; the trade-off is liability.
Lay betting means you're betting against a horse winning. On Betfair Exchange, you take the role of the bookmaker. If the horse loses or places (depending on market), you win the backer's stake. If it wins, you pay them out.

Do I need a Betfair Exchange account?
Yes. Lay betting is only available on betting exchanges like Betfair. Traditional bookmakers don't offer lay markets.
How much liability should I use?
We recommend limiting liability to 1-2% of your betting bank per selection. Our tracking uses £1 stakes for standardised, easy-to-compare results.
How many selections per day?
It varies with the racing: busy cards produce more, and on quiet days the model may find none. The monthly table above shows the live count for every month.
What strike rate should I expect?
Lay betting inverts traditional strike rates. An 85% strike rate means 85% of selections lost the race — which is a win for you as the layer. Check the live record above for current figures.
Is lay betting risky?
All betting carries risk. With lay betting, your maximum loss per bet is the liability — what you'd pay out if the horse wins. Proper bankroll management is essential.
