Privacy Notice

Last updated 29 August 2026

This notice explains what personal information PuntHub collects, why we collect it, who else handles it, how long we keep it and what you can do about it. It is written to be read, not to be survived — if anything here is unclear, email us and we will explain it in plain terms.

Who is responsible for your information

The data controller for personal information collected through punthub.co.uk is PuntHub. PuntHub is an independent trading name and is not a registered company. We are based in Chesterfield, Derbyshire, United Kingdom, and you can reach us at help@punthub.co.uk.

PuntHub is not affiliated with punthub.io, punthub.com.au, or any other business using a similar name.

What we collect and why

We collect very little. There is no account or login on this website, we run no analytics or advertising trackers, and we do not buy, sell or share mailing lists.

Providing a tipster subscription you have paid for

Lawful basis: Contract

Your email address and the subscription record (which service, which tier, start date, status).

We need this to send you the selections you have paid for and to know whether your subscription is active.

Free daily tips by email

Lawful basis: Consent

Your email address, and which form on the site you signed up through.

You give this to us voluntarily and you can withdraw it at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email, or by emailing us. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we sent before you withdrew it.

Taking payment

Lawful basis: Contract

Handled entirely by PayPal. Card numbers and payment credentials never reach PuntHub systems and we never see or store them.

We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded, and the email address and subscription reference associated with it, so we can start or stop your access.

Keeping the site up, secure and free of abuse

Lawful basis: Legitimate interests

Standard server request logs kept by our hosting provider (which include IP addresses), and a crawler-telemetry table recording which search-engine and AI bots visit which pages.

Our interest is in operating a working, secure site and understanding how it is crawled. This is low-impact technical data, and the crawler table concerns automated bots rather than people.

Payments

Subscription payments are taken by PayPal. Your card number, CVC and payment credentials are entered directly with PayPal and never touch PuntHub— we do not see them, receive them or store them, and there is nothing for us to lose if we are breached.

What we receive back is limited to what we need to run your subscription: confirmation that a payment succeeded or failed, the email address associated with it, and a reference for the subscription so we can start, continue or stop your access. PayPal also acts as a controller in its own right for fraud prevention and its own regulatory obligations, and its own privacy policy covers that.

Who else handles your information

We keep the list of third parties deliberately short. Each one is a processor acting on our instructions, except where noted:

ProviderRoleWhat they handle
VercelHosting and content deliveryServes every page. Its platform logs include IP addresses and request metadata as a normal part of running a website.
SupabaseDatabaseStores the tipster and bet records that the site is built from, plus the crawler-telemetry table. The bet ledger itself contains no personal information about site visitors.
PayPalPayment processingTakes and processes subscription payments and billing agreements. PayPal acts as a controller in its own right for its own purposes; see PayPal’s own privacy policy.
ResendEmail deliveryDelivers the free daily tips and subscription emails, and records normal delivery information such as whether a message was delivered or bounced.

Information leaving the UK

Some of these providers operate outside the United Kingdom, including in the United States. Where personal information is transferred out of the UK, it is protected by the safeguards UK data protection law requires — in practice the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, or a country the UK has formally judged to offer adequate protection. If you would like details of the safeguard relied on for a particular provider, email us and we will tell you.

How long we keep things

Free-tips email address: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. There is no fixed expiry — if you stay subscribed, we keep sending. Unsubscribing removes you from the sending list; we keep a minimal record of the unsubscribe itself so we do not accidentally add you back.

Subscription records: for as long as your subscription is active, and afterwards for as long as we need them for tax and accounting purposes. HMRC generally expects business records to be kept for six years.

Payment records: held by PayPal under its own retention rules. We hold only the confirmation and reference described above.

Server logs: kept by our hosting provider for a short operational period under its own platform retention policy, then discarded.

Crawler telemetry: the records of which search-engine and AI bots visited which pages. This concerns automated crawlers rather than people and contains no name, email or IP address.

The public bet ledger: kept permanently — that permanence is the whole point of the site. It records selections, odds and results. It contains no personal information about visitors or subscribers.

Cookies

PuntHub does not set any cookies, and does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies of any kind. There is no consent banner on this site because there is nothing to consent to.

The site loads its two typefaces from Google Fonts, which serves stylesheet and font files and does not set cookies for that. If you go on to pay, PayPal will set its own cookies on its own checkout pages, under its own privacy policy — but that happens on their domain, not ours.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the following rights. They are free to exercise and we will respond within one month.

To exercise any of them, email help@punthub.co.uk and say what you want. We may ask you to confirm the email address you signed up with, so we do not hand your information to somebody else.

Complaints

If you think we have handled your information badly, please tell us first — we would rather fix it. You also have the right to complain to the UK's data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office, at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113. You do not need our permission and you do not have to come to us first.

Changes to this notice

If we change how we handle personal information we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes affecting people on the mailing list will be sent by email.
