It’s blinkers time now, as connections put him in this headgear to see if this works the trick – but I’d still be wary.
He’s also off the same mark (69) as last time but apprentice Sorcha Woods was able to claim 7lbs that day and can only take off 3lbs this time – meaning he’s really 4lbs worse off.
So, with that in mind, you have to ask yourself – will the first-time blinkers eke out 4lbs of improvement? If they do – then fair play, but I’d rather be a layer here, with nine others (albeit poor horses) on my side and against a horse that is yet to prove he can win a race.
Two of the others are also proven course winners – Hurt You Never and Conceirge – while 8 of the 10 runners have also at least won over this trip. Something Split the Profit doesn’t have on his CV.
