Kondratiev Wave has run 16 times over this 7f trip, but has only won once. In those races he’s also finished out of the frame 12 times – meaning he’s only hit a top three finish over 7f 25% of the time and out of it 75%.
The race also looks competitive for the grade – with four other proven course winners, including proflific Brighton winner Rivas Rob Roy, while the selection also has a big burden of 9-12 to carry as the top-rated in the field. Each time he’s raced with 9-10 or more (5 times) he’s been beaten.
