This Ian Williams runner has featured on here a few times in the past and looks worth opposing again – mainly because he’s just 1-from-18 in his career and is still 0-from-13 on the grass.
Yes, he went very close to breaking that duck last time at Lingfield but is up another 1lb here and this will also be his first run here at Catterick.
Connections are also helping by jocking up Ryan Kavanagh to claim 7lbs, so this means he’s actually 6lbs better off than last time – but this doesn’t always translate to the track.
We’ll have CD winners Glory Fighter and Birkenhead on our side, while La Boo and the well-handicapped Show Me Show Me also have squeaks.
Overall, there are some risks here but at the prices I’m happy to take a horse on that has only won once and is still winless on the turf.
