This is probably why connections are trying to eke out a bit more by upping him in trip to 1m3f here (from 1m 1f).
Yes, Ledger has won over 1m 1f in the past – however, has also tried 1m 2f once and that resulted in a loss.
He’s also got a big weight here (10st 3lbs) to carry and the twice he’s raced with 9st 12lbs or more he’s also failed to get his head in front.
Overall, the track form is a concern – but, in what looks a competitive race, there are still question marks over the longer trip and higher rating for me.
Add in the likes of CD winner Penelope’s Sister, who can go well – plus it’s also interesting the Lucinda Russell camp also run course winner Jaminoz, who could be going slightly under the radar off a reduced mark.
