How Horse Racing Dutching Works

In traditional betting, you back one horse, and it either wins or it doesn't. With dutching, you back 2, 3, or more horses in the same race. A dutching calculator determines how much to stake on each horse so your return is identical regardless of which one wins.

For example: In a 10-runner race, you identify 3 horses with prices of 3.0, 4.0, and 5.0. A £50 dutch across these three would stake approximately £22.22 on the 3.0 shot, £16.67 on the 4.0 shot, and £13.33 on the 5.0 shot – returning around £66.67 (£16.67 profit) if any of them win.
