Man City vs Arsenal Preview

An interesting game in store this afternoon with 2 teams who done some good business in the transfer window but find themselves a large margain apart which isnt a huge detail as it is still early doors in the league.

Man City
are coming off 2 largely dissapointing league game with a poor draw against leeds when they dominated throughout and a lackluster performance vs Leicester who battered them off the park. Man City have some huge injury problems at the moment and will be without the ever reliable Kevin De Bruyne and for City you cant get bigger than that, he dictates play and is the one player who can carve open the opposition so without him you are quickly looking at a much tougher game. Couple that with the loss of Gabriel Jesus then they are starved of an out and out striker for todays game.

Arsenal on the other hand have only lost to Liverpool so far and have looked a side that has remarkably improved since last season. Add in the addition of Gabriel at the back and Arteta finally getting to dtamp his style on the team then you have a combination that most teams will fear going forward, which cant be said for years gone by. Then you have the late addition of Thomas the dominant midfielder who had shown on the biggest stage that he is a top quality defensive minded midfielder then you finally have a very good spine developing in the squad.

Stats Time
• City average 2 goals per game and average 2.33 goals conceded.
• City on average get to half time without conceding a goal this season, conceding at average the 58th minute so far
• City score most of there goals between 15-30 and 75-90.
• Arsenal average 2 goals per game and average 1.35 goals conceded
• Arsenal score a large portion of their goals in the 2nd half.
• There is a 87% chance of over 1.5 goals
• There is a 70% chance of over 2.5 goals
• There is a 64% chance of over 7.5 corners
• There is a 47% chance of over 2.5 cards

Very interesting game with Arsenal coming off a largely impressive start to the season while City come into the game on the back of 2 dissapointing performances and are now without the services of Jesus and De Bruyne which makes it much more difficult.
